Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival Srinagar + Shikara Ride
- On arrival at Srinagar airport our representative heartily greets you and assists you to transfer you to the houseboat.
- Check in at Super Deluxe houseboat, freshen up and relax at the luxury of the royal hospitality.
- In the evening enjoy Shikara ride on Dal Lake and witness the marvel of nature that is beyond visual and verbal descriptions.
- The Sun-set view from the Shikara will engulf your heart and leave your spell bound.
- Later enjoy the welcome dinner and overnight stay in the Houseboat
Day 2 Srinagar to Pahalgam (95 Kms/ Approx. 02½ Hour Drive)
- Early in the morning After Breakfast, check out from the Hotel
- Drive to Pahalgam. Located at 2,133 mts, it is also known as ‘The valley of Shepherds’ or ‘Trekker’s Paradise’. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry.
- Enroute visit the Saffron Fields & Awantipur ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and lots of rice fields.
- In Pahalgam one can have a horse ride and can visit Baisaran, Baadyan & Kashmir valley (at your own cost).
- Check into Hotel in Pahalgam
- Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
- Note: In Pahalgam outside vehicles are not allowed for sightseeing. Only local taxis can roam around within Pahalgam city. All outside vehicles will pick up & drop from Hotel
Day 3 In Pahalgam
- After Breakfast, Explore the City of Pahalgam.
- An excursion trip to Chandanwadi (on your own), the starting point of Amarnath Yatra & Betab valley (on your own). Located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named Betaab after the Bollywood movie by the same name! Earlier known as Hajan Valley, after the release of the movie, it was renamed, as a major part of the movie was shot here.
- Post lunch (on your own) or as time permits, proceed for a trip to Aru Valley (on your own). Aru Valley is a tourist spot located about 11 km from Pahalgam. Noted for its scenic meadows, and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies on the left bank of the Aru river, which is a tributary of the Lidder river.
- Dinner & overnight stay in Pahalgam
Day 4 Pahalgam to Gulmarg (150 Kms/ Approx. 03½ Hour Drive)
- After Breakfast, Early morning Check Out from the hotel and proceed to Gulmarg.
- Driving past willow trees, fast flowing streams and lush green meadows.
- Gulmarg – the meadow of flowers is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden meadow offering a spectacular view of towering snow-capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers and gigantic fir and pine trees.
- Check into Hotel. After freshen up, Stroll leisurely or take pony rides (by your own payment) across the green meadow to one of the world’s highest Golf Courses.
- A must is a fun-filled ride in the Gondola lift (by your own payment).
- Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel
Day 5 Gulmarg to Srinagar + Local Day Sightseeing
- After breakfast, check-out and drive to Srinagar.
- Check into Hotel. After freshen up, visit the voyage through the renowned Mughal Garden. You will visit “Nishat” (Garden of Pleasure) & “Shalimar” (Sheesh Mahal)
- Later check-in into the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel
Day 6 Srinagar - Day Excursion To Sonamarg (85 Kms / Approx. 2-Hour Drive)
- After Breakfast, today you embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘meadow of gold’ Sonamarg.
- The fast-flowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and Mahseer fishing in summer.
- You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in snow and ice (by your own payment).
- Return to the Hotel in Srinagar in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
- Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
- Note: The vehicle will drop and pick you up at Sonamarg car stand. To reach the glaciers, you can hire ponies on your own payment basis.
